As an extroverted artist, I consider a painting a conversation-starter. I think we need more self-reflection and more human connection. Sprinkle in some empathy, some love, some joy, and that is what I am aiming for when I paint. Acrylics offer the freedom to let the painting evolve, although I start with the title already in mind. Flowers are fun to paint with their organic shapes and movement but they also hold meaning. Did you know that the daisy flower symbolizes innocence, purity and new beginnings? The peace sign is another symbol I am fond of painting.
